Strings (per-entity ledgers)

Each wallet, smart contract, tokenized asset, DID, and the global federation cord owns exactly one string — a logical chain of knots tracking that entity's history (Quipu Canon v1.2). For the cord-anchor stream see Knots.

Quipu Canon v1.2 invariant: count(strings) ≤ count(knots). Every string starts with a genesis knot, then accumulates more as the entity participates in the network.

Heads-up: ecosystem-side issuers (Tanastok, DCSwap, NaturaProof, Careaway) are scheduled to start emitting knots on contract / asset strings in v1.2. Until those land, expect the contract, asset, and did rows to be sparse. The wallet column is fully active today (deployer attestations + personal-ledger interactions).
